1. Introduction

Sportifyr ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Sportifyr iOS application.

Please read this policy carefully. By using Sportifyr, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

• Account information: Name, email address, and password when you create an account
• Athlete profiles: Names, ages, and sports/activity information for athletes you manage
• Schedule data: Sports events, practices, games, and other schedule entries you create or sync
• Household data: Information about family members or guardians you add to a shared household
• Home address: The household address you can set in Account settings, used as the starting point for departure and drive-time planning

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Usage data: Features you use, screens you visit, and actions you take within the app (collected via PostHog analytics)
• Device information: Device type, operating system version, and app version
• Crash and performance data: Error reports and performance metrics (collected via Sentry)
• In-app purchase data: Subscription status and transaction records (processed via Apple StoreKit; we do not store payment card information)

2.3 Information from Third Parties

• SportsEngine: If you connect a SportsEngine account, we receive schedule and roster data from their platform in accordance with their privacy policy
• Google Sign-In: If you use Google to sign in, we receive your name and email address from Google

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Sportifyr service
• Sync and display sports schedules for your household
• Send notifications about upcoming events (with your permission)
• Process subscription payments
• Analyze usage patterns to improve the app experience
• Diagnose and fix technical issues
• Comply with legal obligations

4. Household Data Sharing

Sportifyr is designed for household use. When you create or join a household:

• Other household members can view shared schedules and athlete profiles
• Household members can add, edit, or remove schedule events
• You can manage household member permissions within the app settings

We do not share your household data with other users outside your household without your explicit consent.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database provider with industry-standard security practices including:

• Data encryption in transit (TLS/SSL)
• Data encryption at rest
• Row-level security policies that ensure users can only access their own data

While we implement reasonable security measures, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.

6. Analytics and Tracking

We use PostHog to collect usage analytics. This helps us understand how users interact with the app and where we can improve.

Analytics events are associated with a pseudonymous account identifier (the internal account ID assigned when you sign up) and a device identifier generated by the PostHog SDK. These identifiers let us understand how a single account uses the app over time. They are not your name or email address, and we do not send your name or email address to PostHog.

We do not use advertising SDKs, we do not collect the Apple advertising identifier (IDFA), and we do not share your data with data brokers or use it to track you across apps and websites owned by other companies.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you delete your account:

• Your personal data and athlete profiles will be deleted within 30 days
• Aggregate, anonymized analytics data may be retained
• Data required for legal compliance may be retained for the legally required period

8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information
• Delete your account and associated data
• Export your data in a portable format
• Opt out of analytics tracking

9. Children's Privacy

Sportifyr is intended for use by parents and guardians managing youth sports schedules. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Athlete profile information (such as a child's name and sport) is entered by the parent or guardian account holder.

If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, please contact us at privacy@jingleinteractive.com and we will promptly delete it.
